Alex and Nicole

In Engagements on August 20, 2011 at 11:10 pm

Alex and Nicole are a testament to that romantic notion –

considered myth for most and magical for a few of the lucky ones – known as Love At First Sight. For the two of them, that historical day was August 20, 2004.  When you see them together, it is quite apparent that they understand they were made for each other.  Seven years and a week later, on August 23rd  2011 they are making it Love For All Time.

Nicole remembers the details:  “Alex is a natural romantic.  On our first date, he brought me a mixed CD.  Honestly, I had an out of body vision of us at the altar during our very first kiss. When my parents picked me up from the airport later that week, I told them that I thought I was in love.”

Nicole and Alex describe themselves as simple souls, and engage in gastronomical pleasures, consuming exotic dishes while traveling to being food tourists in LA. “A lot of our relationship revolves around food,”  Nicole explains. “It is actually the one thing we really spend money on. And besides our big smiles and being good people, it may also be one of those things people know us for.”

As a couple, they describe themselves as very much excited and interested in all things creative and colorful. This includes farmer’s market, community service, art shows, making pottery, dancing, making ice cream, hearing a good story, picking flowers on long walks, laughing, concerts, theater, baking, soccer, an open floor plan. “We love whatever will make us laugh,” they are quick to share.

Wanting to incorporate a tangible representation of themselves into their wedding inspired each of them to share a treasured avocation with their guests. Nicole is making miniature pottery bowls as wedding favors, and Alex is making several exotic flavors of ice cream from scratch as the dessert special.  How can you not love this couple?
